Author notes: I... am sorry this is where my brain went on being handed "death" as a prompt. This is not in the same continuity as the rest of my S&A fics (in which absolutely everyone lives!).
Summary: The Swallows and Amazons would have been the right age to fight in WWII. To fight, and to die.
