Ginny attempts to surreptitiously magic the lift into working. The ‘surreptitious’ part doesn’t go well, but Blanche (who must be getting on by now) is unsurprised - she saw stranger things in Egyptian pyramids. And now she realises why Ginny looks so familiar; it’s the resemblance to the long-haired, strangely ignorant ‘archaeologist’ who came to talk to her in the British Museum one day about her findings in Egypt.
Randomise a song by your preferred means (shuffle your iPod/MP3 player/iTunes/the internet). Pick out the line that best fits 2 [Nancy Blackett].
(Breaking the Law, Judas Priest). Hmm… “so I might as well begin to put some action in my life”. Not all that easy a song - Though I suppose I could just have quoted the chorus, it’s rather apt for a pirate ;)
What would be your plot device of choice for a fic involving 11 [Hilda Annersley] and 6 [Sheldon Cooper]?
Setting aside the obvious time travel/weird fusion necessary… Actually, no, not setting it aside! Sheldon finally invents a working time machine, but the controls are - ‘iffy’ is putting it kindly. And when he accidentally winds up in 1950s Switzerland, creating havoc in the Chalet School in the process, Hilda Annersley is not amused.
Rec a fanwork about 12 [Lucy Pevensie].

Where would 9 [Tenth Doctor] take 5 [Georgina Dixon] on a date?
Through a series of mishaps, they would end up at the one place Georgina had wanted to avoid - Tony’s. Which would then turn out to be the center of illicit alien activity, resulting in severe property damage. Georgina leaps at the Doctor’s offer of a trip on the TARDIS after, mainly to get away from all her friends who are really mad about the fact that her date has wrecked Tony’s cafe!
2 [Nancy Blackett] and 4 [Ginny Weasley] are now buddy cops. Do they make a good team & is this bad or good news for nearby criminals?

If 3 [Teresa Lisbon] and 7 [Phryne Fisher] were a couple, how would they meet and would it work out?
(Assuming the canons have somehow been fused and era differences somehow ironed out). They’d meet over a case which Teresa has been assigned, and Phryne hired, to investigate. It definitely has potential! It might work out… or their feelings for another consultant / police officer respectively might get in the way.

I… have no idea where they’re going - super secret WWII work? That somehow involves Legolas winding up on Earth in the 1940s, don’t ask me how. Nell and Blanche drive; he may be an expert rider, but that does not in any way shape or form qualify Legolas to drive a car! Legolas gets left behind intentionally; he’s spotted a horse that will let him ride it, which seems a much better idea than that weird metal contraption, and he cannot stand any more flirting.
In a coffee shop type AU with 9 [Tenth Doctor] and 4 [Ginny Weasley], what would their establishment be called?
It has to be some pun on Ginger! The Gingerbread Teahouse? (You know, like the witch’s gingerbread house in Hansel and Gretel - I just saw the gingerbread episode of Great British Bake-Off, so I have it on the brain).
What would the title be for a romance novel/film featuring 7 [Phryne Fisher] and 12 [Lucy Pevensie]?
Oh, oh, goodness. I suck at titles and that is a brain-breaking pairing anyway… The Queen and the Courtesan? (That sounds awful, like some kind of dreadful purple prose novel, undoubtedly with a lurid cover and lots of heaving bosoms!)

“I know you promised me adventures in time and space, but I hadn’t realised that would include piracy on the Spanish Main,” Blanche remarked, surveying the shining turquoise seas on which they were sailing.
“All part of the plan,” the Doctor replied, trying to seem nonchalant but in fact looking completely frazzled. At least they hadn’t had to fight the crew… superstitious lot, pirates; as soon as the TARDIS materialized out of nowhere on board their docked ship, they’d run inland and never looked back. Well, he didn’t think they’d looked back, but to be fair, he hadn’t exactly waited around for them to return.
“Plan? You call this a plan? Jane makes better plans than this, and he had me fake my own death!” Teresa glared at him, and he gave her what he hoped was a placating smile, acutely aware of the arsenal of weapons she had found, claimed, and was now wearing, despite his loud protests. He hoped she at least knew how to use a cutlass and a flintlock rifle…
“Just relax and enjoy it, sweetie,” Blanche advised, tilting her new hat at a more rakish angle. “Well, Doctor? Shall we hunt for a galleon to raid?”
“Absolutely no raiding!” Teresa snapped.
“No raiding,” the Doctor agreed. “I’m going to see if I can’t get the TARDIS working again, you two just… keep the ship sailing and stay out of trouble.”
“Aye, aye, Cap’n,” Blanche said with a salute. Somehow he didn’t find it reassuring - possibly because of the stage whisper that reached him as he entered the TARDIS.
“If you’re not up for raiding, how about a spot of mutiny? I’m sure there’s a plank to walk here somewhere.”
11 [Hilda Annersley], 1 [Nell Wilson], 12 [Lucy Pevensie] and 5 [Georgina Dixon] are on a talent show. Who wins?
Oddly enough considering the song and dance (err… pun not intended but apt!) about her speaking voice, I don’t recall if Hilda ever sings! Nell can country dance, I think? And I’m sure Lucy can sing and dance, or she could have archery as her talent… But Georgina would probably win in the end because she’s insanely competitive (seriously. She had to go undercover on a cooking show once, and she went really really really overboard about it. Not sleeping and being unfit to do any actual detecting because she’d stay up all night practising recipes overboard.)
Aliens try to make 2 [Nancy Blackett], 6 [Sheldon Cooper] and 12 [Lucy Pevensie] do it. Do they have any luck?
No no no no no and I am going to pretend that was never asked.
OK, I’ll try to give a better answer (but seriously Sheldon’s asexual, Nancy and Lucy are both children in canon - well, Lucy grows up in Narnia, but still, she then returns to being a child and dies at about 18 - creepy, meme!). Sheldon is too busy studying actual!real!live!ALIENS! to pay attention to their attempts - hell, innuendoes are already known to fly straight over his head, he probably literally doesn’t realise what they want. Nancy strongly considers declaring war on them, but Lucy gets her to help instead in coming up with a clever devious plan (a la the escape from Calormen in the Horse and his Boy) that gets them all out alive and unhurt.
What might 1 [Nell Wilson] say to compliment 5 [Georgina Dixon]?
She’d probably compliment her on science-y stuff; Nell’s an MSc, and Georgina loves the scientific/forensic side of detective work.
What would 10 [Legolas] hate most about 2 [Nancy Blackett]? And what would 9 [Tenth Doctor] love most about 10 [Legolas]?
I don’t know what Legolas would hate about Nancy… he might object to the homemade bow-and-arrows and give her a proper one?
The Doctor would probably like Legolas’ sense of humour and general unflappability.
If you had to write a crossover involving 6 [Sheldon Cooper] and 4 [Ginny Weasley], how would it go and/or what would the crossover fandom be?
One of Sheldon’s attempts to discover magnetic monopoles winds up discovering the magical world instead, and somehow Ginny gets involved in the race to modify his memory before he publishes his results and reveals it to the whole world.

(I’m going to pinch some of the book canon here - specifically the fact that Phryne was educated in England; I don’t recall if that was mentioned in the TV series).
The new girl in Hilda’s year has arrived with a terrible disciplinary record; people say she drinks and smokes; she certainly does enjoy startling everyone and breaks rules right and left; and Hilda (who is a prefect, and should be guiding Phryne into the right path instead of following her down the wrong one) finds her utterly fascinating.
If 3 [Teresa Lisbon] and 9 [Tenth Doctor] decided to get together and pull off a jewel heist, how would that go?
Poor Lisbon, the Doctor keeps involving her in crime! Still, Jane keeps doing that to her, she’s probably used to it by now…
Undoubtedly, this jewel needs to be stolen to save the world! The Doctor comes up with some wildly elaborate and bizarre plan, but it’s Lisbon, with her knowledge of police work (and possibly contacts?) who makes it actually work.
7 [Phryne Fisher] has got to save the world from 8 [Blanche Mottershead]. Is the world saved or doomed?
Trying to figure out why the world would need saving from Blanche… perhaps she’s been possessed by a demon trapped in some pyramid! I reckon Phryne’s got a good chance, though.

Teresa Lisbon is a homicide detective (and head of her unit) in modern-day Sacramento, California - so you can see why she's not exactly sold on piracy. Blanche Mottershead is an archaeologist in 1938-9 London, and played by Alex Kingston! I almost wished I'd gone for ELeven instead of Ten so I could have a River Song reference... I suppose I could have had one, but it felt a bit forced with Ten.
